The Jiangsu provincial government recently announced a series of measures to further optimize the foreign investment environment.

Jiangsu encourages foreign investment to support coordinated regional development, gradually transferring surplus production capacity under the paring-up support mechanism between the province¡¯s northern and southern regions.

The province also aims to promote the establishment and development of regional headquarters of foreign-funded enterprises through various measures, such as providing financial assistance and facilitation initiatives.

Jiangsu will encourage research and development activities of foreign-invested enterprises, support their application for recognition as R&D centers. The R&D centers of foreign companies will be encouraged to collaborate with universities, research institutes and enterprises to achieve technological breakthroughs.
